On April 8, 2020 a leaked version of the Lebanese Government's draft reform program was circulating online. The document was introduced as the Government's comprehensive economic program aimed at resolving deep-seated macro-economic, financial and institutional problems, restoring confidence, boosting economic growth, promoting a healthy financial system and achieving debt and financial sustainability.
Following the leak, Kulluna Irada published a first set of comments calling on the Government to adopt a multi-pillared rescue plan in line with the diagnosis and general directions of the draft paper.
L'Orient le Jour published our comments in an article. Read it (in French) here.
