Challenging the Sincerity of the 2019 Budget’s Figures

The proposed budget for 2019 brings in a range of measures aimed at boosting revenues and curbing down expenditures, and is clearly designed to reach a predefined target. We challenge the sincerity of the figures that come at a crucial time for Lebanon and are deeply concerned that the Lebanese authorities are showing no sign of true commitment to fiscal adjustment and institutional reforms.
