Statement around the Process of Auditing on Central Bank Accounts

Kulluna Irada calls upon Government to adopt the highest levels of transparency around the process of auditing Central Bank accounts

Kulluna Irada welcomes the Council of Ministers’ decision to launch the process of studying the causes of the current financial crisis and auditing Central Bank accounts.

We ask the Government to provide the public with full information on the bodies assigned to conduct the audits, and to seek external technical assistance in order to ensure the proper level of impartiality and expertise. We also call upon the Government to adopt the highest levels of transparency around the auditing mechanisms and findings.

Kulluna Irada shall follow this process with utmost interest as it falls within our scope of action on Economy and Public Finance in Lebanon.
